This document has been developed as part of a research study to assist the project partners – Pacific Disability Forum, Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility (PRIF) – in their efforts to enhance accessibility in the transport sector and built environment in Pacific countries. The project was initiated by the World Bank through the PRIF Transport Sector Working Group.

The objective of this plan of action is to promote, within the framework of the Convention, a just implementation of Article 10 (c) at local, national, regional and international levels and to ensure the full and effective participation of indigenous and local communities at all stages and levels of implementation.

By 2015, each Party has developed, adopted as a policy instrument, and has commenced implementing an effective, participatory and updated national biodiversity strategy and action plan.
