The Skipjack Survey and Assessment Programme ran for a period of four years conducting research toward the understanding of skipfack and baitfish resources of the South Pacific region. The main objectives of the SSAP were to gain information on the migrations, stock structure, population dynamics and fishery interactions relevant to skipfack resources and to gain information on the distribution and availability of tuna baitfish resources within the South Pacific Commission region.
