One World:Ciquatera Fish Poisoning

Abstract

An informative audio presentation on the Ciquatera Fish Poisoning disease which affects some islands of the South Pacific. It describes research studies carried out in Kiribati by students of the University of the South Pacific. Also mentioned are the affected atoll countries and interviews between Carolyn Court and two doctors; Dr. Richard Lewis who is undertaking a workshop on Ciquatera, and Dr. John Pern who comments on the discovery of a treatment found in the Marshall Islands.
